Task 2 - Magazine Analysis

We are now given these two magazine covers. We can tell these are for men because of the colour sceem, no pink or purple or girly colours, there's a man on the front (Obama). Obama looks smart, casual and he's high authority so we everybody knows who he is. The pose and colours suggest a high business man, somebody with high intellegence. The plugs and puffs are a bit too small, you are not drawn straight to them. However in the Nuts magazine, you can see that there's a girl immatating a sexy pose, something the younger generation are drawn to rather than the GQ magazine which is aimed at the older generations. Red has been used throughout all 4 of the magazines I've analysised because it sticks out, it's bold and our eyes are more drawn to the colour red. The puffs and plugs differ from each other because in the GQ magazine it's got more mature things like "Men of the year" and "The Best Stuff Of 2008", but in the Nuts magazine we have "When breasts escape" and "Is it just me or is that a see through top?". All 4 magazines have tons of differences both for different ages and genders.
